Watermark Remover (WM-X)

Specifications

SKU: WM-X

Description

Watermark Remover is a mild acid-based formula that chemically dissolves stubborn hard-water marks from glass, paint and chrome. It breaks down the mineral deposits left by water droplets before they can etch into the surface, removing marks that ordinary cleaners cannot.

Because it works chemically and acts quickly, it must be rinsed off promptly and never left to dry; if the product dries on the surface, the acid can etch the glass. It is a strong, professional-grade product. For a gentler, home-use alternative, GE Glass Compound removes water marks physically, using a cerium oxide polish rather than acid.

Watermark Remover is safe on glass, paint and chrome, and it can also be used on mirrors and headlight covers. Beyond the vehicle, it removes hard-water and limescale marks from household glass, such as windows and bathroom or shower glass doors and partitions. It can also be used on tinted windows and hydrophobic glass coatings; however, as films and coatings vary widely in composition, test a small, concealed corner first and proceed only once no adverse effect is confirmed. It is suitable for detailing professionals, automotive workshops, and experienced users treating heavily water-stained surfaces.

As with any acid-based product, test a small, concealed area first when treating a surface for the first time.
Yes. Besides automotive glass, paint and chrome, it removes hard-water and limescale marks from household glass, including windows and bathroom or shower glass doors and partitions. They remove water marks in two different ways. Watermark Remover is a mild acid that dissolves the mineral deposit chemically, which is fast but must be rinsed off promptly and never left to dry. Glass Compound removes water marks physically, using a cerium oxide polish worked over the surface; it will not etch the glass and is more forgiving, requiring only a thorough water rinse afterwards. Choose Glass Compound for a forgiving polish and Watermark Remover for a quick chemical treatment.
