Glass Compound (GC-X)

Description

Glass Compound is a cerium oxide glass polishing compound that physically removes water marks, mineral deposits, wiper haze and fine scratches, restoring optical clarity to glass. Rather than dissolving marks chemically, it polishes them away with a fine abrasive. This makes it completely safe on glass: it will not etch the surface, it does no harm if it dries, and it simply requires a thorough water rinse afterwards.

It is a forgiving, easy-to-use alternative to the acid-based Watermark Remover. Watermark Remover works chemically and quickly, and is the professional option; Glass Compound works physically and is the gentler choice, including for home use.

Use it on automotive glass, mirrors, headlight covers and chrome, as well as household glass such as windows, mirrors, and bathroom or shower glass doors and partitions. Apply it by hand, using the felt side of a sponge, or with a machine and a glass polishing pad for a faster result on larger areas. Note that, like any polish, it addresses light surface damage such as fine wiper scratches; deep scratches and chips cannot be corrected by any glass polish.

How to Use

1. Wash and clean the glass, and keep it damp.
2. Apply a small amount of Glass Compound to the felt side of a sponge, or to a glass polishing pad.
3. Polish the surface in overlapping passes with firm pressure, by hand or by machine, keeping the glass wet throughout.
4. Wipe off the residue and check the result in good light; repeat on stubborn areas.
5. Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water.
