Description
Plastic Coating is a ceramic polymer coating for the exterior plastic trim of cars and motorcycles, such as mudguards, textured black trim, bumpers and mirror housings. Over time, these textured plastics fade and turn grey or white as they age. Plastic Coating restores them to a deep, natural factory black, bringing back the original satin finish rather than a greasy, artificial shine. It contains no dye and is a clear liquid, so it restores the appearance through the coating itself rather than by colouring the surface.
Once applied, it forms a hard, hydrophobic ceramic layer that makes water bead and roll off, and it resists UV and weathering. A single application lasts over a year, even on daily-driven vehicles, and often several years on vehicles that are used less often. It withstands regular washing and outdoor use.
It is a thin, easy-to-apply liquid, and requires no special technique. Clean and dry the trim, apply a thin, even layer with a sponge, and keep it away from water while it dries for 5 to 10 minutes. Once dry, the water-repellent, restored finish is ready.
Plastic Coating is intended for hard exterior plastic trim and fixed rubber trim. It is not suitable for soft or flexible surfaces such as vinyl, because the cured ceramic layer is a solid film that can crack on surfaces that flex. It is not for tyres, where Pro Wax Silicone (PR-X) should be used instead, and it is not for paintwork, including matte paint. It is suitable for car owners, motorcyclists, detailing shops and workshops.

How to Use
- Clean the plastic trim and dry it thoroughly. Degreasing first is not essential, but it improves durability. Work on a cool surface out of direct sunlight.
- Apply a thin, even layer onto a sponge and spread it over the trim. Do not apply it too thickly. A single coat is enough.
- Keep the surface away from water and leave it to dry for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Once dry, the restored, water-repellent finish is ready to use.
Safety & Compatibility
Plastic Coating is intended for hard exterior plastic trim and fixed rubber trim on cars and motorcycles. It is not suitable for soft or flexible surfaces such as vinyl, as the cured layer can crack where the surface flexes; it is not for tyres, or for paintwork including matte finishes. The carrier is solvent-based and flammable while wet, so use it in a well-ventilated area and keep it away from open flames and sparks until it has dried. Apply to cool, clean trim out of direct sunlight, and avoid contact with paintwork. Avoid contact with eyes, and store out of reach of children.
